Watch: Sugar & Gold - “Salty Seraphim (Live Acoustic Version)”

This video of Sugar & Gold jamming like it’s the late-’60s at Andy Warhol’s Factory is brought to us by The New Gay. In it, a few members of the San Francisco quintent jam out on an acoustic version of “Salty Seraphim,” one of our favorite songs from their latest release, Get Wet!. It’s kinda weird, a little funny, and totally makes us think Sugar & Gold needs to spawn a psychedelic jam band after it finishes touring for the new album.

Watch: Flying Lotus and ∞ Live @ The Echoplex

If you’re at all like us, you spent last weekend wishing you lived just a bit closer to Southern California (if only for two days). On May 14 and 15 at The Echoplex in Los Angeles, Steven Ellison celebrated the released of his (inter)stellar new album as Flying Lotus, keyCMND favorite Cosmogramma. We would’ve given up just about anything to catch the premiere of his new audio/visual show, and we probably shouldn’t tell you what we were willing to do see him play with a live band, dubbed ∞.

Thankfully, no drastic measures were taken, because the great people at Glenjamn captured the magic for us and threw it up on Youtube. Now we can watch Ellison and his band of merry music makers flesh out jazzy renditions of his tunes without promising to hand over our first born. Check out some live footage above, with more FlyLo video goodness here.

Toro Y Moi Readies New Single, Plays Live

One of the more interesting fellas lumped into the whole “chillwave” thing, Chaz Bundick (a.k.a. Toro Y Moi) has written a bit of new music set to follow his debut album, Causers of This. A new single, entitled “Leave Everywhere,” is coming out in late-July along with b-side “First Date” on Carpark Records. So far, all the info we can offer you is the aforementioned song titles, the release date, and the cover art, all down below.

Possibly a bit more immediately interesting, Bundick recently met up with the guys that do Yours Truly to sit down and do a live session of Causers track “You Hid.” The video for that piece up top, and we’ve included some upcoming tour dates Toro Y Moi is doing with Phoenix, below as well.

Watch: Thom Yorke Plays a Bunch of Solo Songs

Thom Yorke has been kicking his game into high-gear lately. There have been rumors of a possibly finished new Radiohead album, a now-named backing band will be performing with him at Coachella and aborad, and then there was this solo performance in Cambridge recently.

At a Green Party benefit, um, party, Yorke hopped is little frame on stage with an acoustic guitar and serenaded the environmentally conscious audience with his all-too-familiar croon. With these fairly high-quality videos, thanks to AtEaseWeb.com, you can experience the whole affair from the comfort of your own home. We’ve put a few below, and the rest can be found here.

Watch: Beach House - “Zebra (Live)”

With their third album already being touted as many’s favorite of the year thus far, Baltimore’s Beach House are floating high on the lush and, as writer Luke Winkie put it, “majestic” cloud that is Teen Dream.

Thanks to the massive budget available to online music rag Pitchfork, an intimate live performance of what is possibly the best song on the album, “Zebra,” is available to watch online. We just went ahead and put that video right here for you to enjoy.

Teen Dream is out now on Sub Pop Records.
